I'm sure most of you have seen the commerticals for "Lava Life" and "Live Links" the telephone hotlines where you can "MEET LIVE SINGLES IN YOUR AREA" like OMGG!!!
However, when i see these commercials the only thing that comes to my mind are the people who actally use them, and it makes me kind of sad.
First, lets get something out of the way. I love how in the commercials they used hot models, so when you call you can imagine that someone mildly attractive is on the other end, which is absolutly not the case.....therefore leading me to point number 1.
Point Number 1: No alluring human being calls those numbers becasue they dont need too.
Point Number 2: If you have to call a toll free hotline to meet people you have social barrier you need to resolve. I realize that calling breaks alot of tension, but lets get fucking real here. GET OFF YOUR FUCKING ASS AND MEET PEOPLE...IN PERSON. How are you ever going to meet ANYONE if you cant do it face to face? It's called life, and we all have to endure it, even something as greuling as talking to people in person...i know, it blows my mind too.
Point Number 3: What the fuck do you talk about? Is it some casual interaction where you get to know one another, or are you just soliciting for phone sex without being completely obvious? I'm sure a large number of the conversations go there.
Point Number 4: So if things are blossming....do you meet up in person? I mean shit, doesn't that just contradict the purpose of this whole scheme in the first place, with the added bonous of footing the phone bill later?
it boggles my mind really.
also, upon surfing the intertubes, and googling "live links" i came across a website called LonelyCheatingWives.com ....

First Victim
I dont know where to start since there are a handful of issues i want to adress, but i will start with something that has been pissing me off for a long time.
Fucking Soulja Boy. I cant stand him. This is not a race war, i just think hes a fucking idiot. But first, Congradulations on making it big, kudos really. You have showed the world that anyone can make up a dance to a song with absolutely no premise and become a millionaire. The lyrics to your song make no sense, they are just shitty fucking lyrics. It boggles my mind that you were nominated for a grammy with your pathetic song you call 'rap' music.
I wont even get into his song called "Yah, Trick, Yah" with his poor, fumbling excuse for the english language. It's actually really funny, more embarassing for him though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=orVf_i9fSxY. (also take note that he ran out of lyrics so he endlessly says "get out my face")
See, thats whats the problem. There is good rap, and there is bad rap. Good rap tells a story, it has a purpose. It talks about someomes life, or something soemone did that had meaning (key word here). Alot of times they are sad songs, like Tupac's Changes. Thats why he was so respected and left such a legacy. He had powerful lyrics and people had actually lived and could compare themselves with. I recognize that alot of rappers have come from a really shitty upbringing, and i give them alot of credit for telling people about it through music. I really enjoy hearing about other peoples pasts.
Bad rap is "Oh hot damn, this is my jam" stupid fucking lyrics that ANOYNE can make up. There is no depth, no intellegence went into making that music. And it dissapoints me when those songs make it big, becasue I think its a refelction of the people who are buying it.
When your music isnt helping anyone but you, thats a problem. When it's putting thousnads of dollars in your pocket that would be spent better somewhere else, thats an even bigger problem.
The music industry today only cares about making money, it couldn't give a shit about the content being written and produced. $ales, thats all they have in mind.
Maybe I care too much, but analyzing music is what I want to do one day.
So in conclusion, I would like to leave off with this, an exerpt from the bio section of Soulja Boy's myspace:
"Soulja Boy Tell’em is many things to many people. Apparently, prophetic is one of them."
lolz.
p.s. lets spend our money on music that is worth listening to. :-)

So I have decided to create a blog for "my thoughts". I have a section in my AIM like that, and have gotten alot of really good feedback from it. So here we go, if i offend you, well then I accomplished something and hopefully will make you think more critically about the plethora idiocracy's in this world that alot of people fail to recognize. I hope you enjoy. And im going to stray away from areas of conflict such as religion, and politics (not matter how much I want to harp on both).
And as a forewarning, i'm not very good at spelling. Funny that I want to be a writer one day huh?
Also, im not a pessimist, I just want people to see what I do without shoving it down anyones throat.
